If you’re unsure if you need a chimney sweep, here’s some frequently asked questions some of our customers ask:

Bituminous would be quarterly whilst in use

Wood also should be quarterly

Smokeless fuel should be at least once a year

We use heap filter vacuums which allows us to contain most (if not all) of the soot dust.  We use good quality clean dust sheets.  We also use a number of best practices.  If however there is a severe blockage we will discuss what is required with you first and what we will need to do.

This is to allow safe passage of potentially dangerous gases such as carbon monoxide.  Not only that it will make your appliance/fire fuel burn more efficiently.  It will also remove any creosote, soot or birds nests etc that may have accumulated eliminating any potential fire

We have a CT system which can easily be inserted into the appliance/Flue/chimney this will detect any damages or blockages.  We can then show you the video imaging and talk you through the best course of action.

A regular sweep is around £60.00 depending on location and type of appliance.

Yes a certificate of works can be supplied.  Some insurance companies insist on paper work to prove the chimney/appliance has been swept.

Yes we can replace fire bricks in multi fuel stoves and log burners and we can also replace the rope seals on these appliances.  We can also replace glass depending on the age of the appliance and type.
